Yeah, really, it has been that long! The Reunion will again coincide with the City of Barre’s Annual Homecoming Festival that has been a big draw for several years, bringing people “Home to Barre” from near and far.

Friday night there’ll be an informal, get re-acquainted gathering at the Barre Elks Club. Our class will design and enter a Rockin’ & Rollin’ Float in Saturday’s Homecoming Parade. Our weekend-long event concludes Saturday evening with a dinner dance (also at the Barre Elks). The evening will include a video presentation of sights and sounds of the mid 1960’s…sure to bring both smiles and tears. We will also pay tribute to our fifteen deceased classmates.

Others who attended school with us throughout our elementary and high school years (but didn’t graduate with us in 1968) have expressed interest in coming to our reunion. Also, Marian High School 1968 graduates! Spread the word; get us their addresses – the more, the merrier!

INITIAL PRESS RELEASE
40TH REUNION IN 2008

“The Spaulding High School Class of 1968 will be holding its 40^th reunion on July 25 -26, 2008,” states Lynn Provasi, who is heading up the formation of a reunion committee. “We will be celebrating four years of memories from 40 years ago.”

Thus far, other committee members include Jeanne (Burrington) Hommel, Sandy (Davison) MacAulay, Gilles Moreau, George Scott, Adelle (Nadeau) Sumner, Nikki (Trottier) Sweet, and Steve Welch. “Special project sub-committees of two or more people will be formed so no one has too much to do,” Provasi explains.

The weekend-long celebration will dovetail with Barre’s Annual Homecoming festivities.  The Class of ’68 will hold a Friday evening informal gathering; host a “Rockin’ ‘n’ Rollin’” float in Saturday’s Homecoming Parade; and will conclude with a dinner dance Saturday evening.  Sure to cause lots of laughs and a few tears, the evening’s highlights will feature sights and sounds of the mid-60s, as well as memories of their 14 deceased classmates.
